If you have a card from another library in the South Central Library System, you can use that card at any of the Madison locations. If you are a resident of a county in the South Central Library System (Columbia, Dane, Green, Sauk, Adams, Wood and Portage counties) and do not have a library card from your local library, you can apply for a card at any Madison Public Library. If I don’t live in Madison, can I still borrow items? Easy Access cards expire every 12 months but can be renewed for another 12 months by showing photo ID. Easy Access cards can check out up to 3 items and place holds on up to 2 items. If you have a photo ID but no proof of address, you can get an Easy Access card at any Madison library.
